Levi’s: Getting dressed…..in denim. Levi’s showcased its first ever global collection at Mercer 82 on Wednesday, and the ritual of getting dressed was the inspiration du jour. These aren’t your casual day Levi’s; the looks were surprisingly tailored and refined as jeans took on a dressier approach. It was a rhapsody in blue on the runway, with all kinds of denim offerings like a skinny bootcut, a wide trouser-like pant, down home overalls, jumpers, and skirts, both mini and maxi. Men’s looks had a more relaxed fit, with shorter and cuffed lengths, including some electric colorways--pants in tomato red, ginger, and cobalt. Front row celebs who peeped this study in denim included Maria Menounos, Brad Goreski, Harley Viera Newton, Theophilus London, and Zachary Levi.
